PimEyes lets you submit a photo and find where that photo, or a similar one, appears on the public web. This page explains what happens to your data. If anything here is unclear, email us.

You don't need an account

We sign you in anonymously. We never receive your name, email address, or password. A random ID identifies your searches on our servers.

If you delete and reinstall the app, or switch devices, you get a new ID and your old searches will no longer appear in the app.

What we collect

• The photos you submit. You choose them from your photo library, take them with the camera, or paste an image link. We only access your photos or camera when you pick an image — we never scan your photo library.
• Your search history. The date, the image you submitted, and the results we found: match titles, links to the pages where matches appeared, thumbnails, and an automatic summary.
• How much you use the app. We count your searches each day to apply the daily limit of 50 and to decide when to show a subscription offer.
• Basic device and crash information. Your device model, operating system, language, region, an approximate location based on your IP address, and crash reports. This comes from Google Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics.
• Your subscription status. Apple handles payment. We never see your card or billing details.

We do not collect your name, email address, password, exact location, or contacts. We do not track you across other apps or websites.

You are responsible for the photos you submit. Only submit a photo if you have the right to, and don't submit someone else's photo where the law where you live requires their consent.

Do not use PimEyes to stalk, harass, monitor, or dox anyone, or to submit intimate images of anyone without their consent. We may remove content and block access if you do.

About the automatic summaries

The written summary and risk indicator shown with your results are generated automatically, not by a person. They can be wrong or incomplete. Don't rely on them for any decision about someone's identity, reputation, job, housing, or safety.

Who else sees your data

• Google Firebase — hosting, sign-in, database, file storage, analytics, crash reports
• SerpApi — runs the image search
• Google image search — receives your photo via SerpApi to find matches
